The area on the fringe of Old Scottsdale is actually pretty quiet during the day.

Here is a look at some of the local hotspots and their signs while the sun shines.

Opposite the long mural on Hoefgen Street is another shorter mural that is in the sun during the early part of the day. Both sides of the street near downtown San Antonio have gotten new murals from time to time. This is from the end of 2019.

On my second day in Las Vegas, I wandered out just after sunrise to photograph the outside of The Luxor. At this time of day, I had this stretch of the Las Vegas Strip almost to myself.
