Rivers have been the lifeblood of Texas for hundreds and even thousands of years. Here are a few we passed on the way from San Antonio to Houston on the legendary Sunset Limited.
Riding the rails between San Antonio and Houston
The Sunset Limited chugs past farmland and through small-town Texas as it rolls from San Antonio to Houston. The trip started on a gray, drizzly morning at Sunset Station in downtown San Antonio. The skies lightened up for a while, and then rain returned when we stopped in Houston.
