Murals live on – for now – at closed Tacoland
The legendary Tacoland near downtown San Antonio and neighboring The Pearl is currently closed.
The building at 103 West Grayson Street has a chain-link fence around it. One of the murals, which includes a portrait of former owner Ram Ayala, has graffiti painted on it.
The site was most recently operated as Viva TacoLand.
In May, mySanAntonio.com reported a co-owner is looking for a new restaurant to take over the location.
Mission San Jose in San Antonio
Mission San Jose on the South Side of San Antonio opened in 1782 near the San Antonio River.
The chapel remains an active Catholic Church.
The grounds are part of the National Park Service.
The full name is “Mission San José y San Miguel de Aguayo”.
