An evening with the Texas Rangers in Arlington
The Texas Rangers beat the Philadelphia Phillies 9-3 on Wednesday, May 17, at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas. It was the Rangers’ eighth-straight victory. Texas’ Jaren Hoying hit his first major league home run and reliever Austin Bibens-Dirkx pitched the ninth inning to make his major league debut.

Riding the rails between San Antonio and Houston
The Sunset Limited chugs past farmland and through small-town Texas as it rolls from San Antonio to Houston. The trip started on a gray, drizzly morning at Sunset Station in downtown San Antonio. The skies lightened up for a while, and then rain returned when we stopped in Houston.
